Tanja would like to know if the camp cabins are heated and the temperature at camp in December.

Dear Tanja,
The cabins at Camp Conrad-Chinnock were built in the 1940s and heaters were not included.  A few years ago, Diabetic Youth Services added heaters for groups renting camp in April and September.  During the winter, temperatures range from 10 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.  Campers would be shivering all night if they slept in the cabin.

People stay at camp during the colder months by sleeping in the Stebbins and Risner lodges, which are insulated from the environment.  Camp is in the process of installing new cabins that have two sinks, a toilet, two sleeping rooms, and a front porch.
