7,000 feet above the city lies Camp Conrad-Chinnock, a beautiful camp
nestled among the tall pines of the Barton Flats Recreation Area within
the San Bernardino Mountains. The views are spectacular, the air
is fresh and clean, the stars are bright, and the staff is friendly and
helpful. Being accredited by the American Camping Association
assures Camp Conrad-Chinnock attendees that they will receive the
highest standards and outstanding service.
The Risner Conference Center provides ideal
accommodations for small to medium size groups. Its spacious
meeting areas can hold up to 60 people for
presentations, conferences, and recreational purposes. The
conference room has a large fireplace, tables, and chairs to use as
needed. This facility is fully equipped with an oven, stove,
refrigerator, and sink. The Center has a sleeping accommodations
for 39 people. The sleeping facilities at Camp Conrad-Chinnock are
dormitory style; bunk beds with mattresses are provided. Three
sleeping dorms have their own attached bathroom facility, complete with
shower stalls and washing facilities. There is also an
administrator's room with a private bath, double bed, and bunk
bed. This facility is perfect for church retreats, scout troops,
family reunions, and educational retreats.
Stebbins Lodge is generally used as a
sleeping facility for 34 people and is rented in conjunction with the
Game Lodge and Dining Hall. Stebbins consists of a dormitory area,
two private bedrooms, and two bathroom facilities with
showers.
The Game Lodge is a large
meeting/recreational room a group may sit in front of a blazing fire
with a cup of hot chocolate and relax, watch a movie, or listen to
music. There are couches, benches, pool table, ping-pong,
foosball, and air hockey.

Facilities
Camp Conrad-Chinnock has a large dining
hall capable of holding up to 170 people. The beautiful stone
fireplace served as a gathering place for announcements and such.
All package prices include delicious, nutritious meals prepared by
camp's Food Service Manager. Special requests for meals and
dietary needs can be arranged prior to your groups arrival.
However, fees can vary with special food requests.
During the fall, spring, and summer, our
clear, heated pool provides respite from the warm days. The winter
brings snow to the hills, creating natural sledding areas around
camp. A short hike from camp is Jenks Lake, which is a popular
fishing spot and day hike when weather permits. For hiking
enthusiasts, San Gorgonio's "Old Grey Back", with an elevation of 11,500
feet, provides a day long challenge. The area around camp is
covered with trails great from mountain biking. Activities
available to groups include hiking, volleyball, basketball, snow play,
cross country skiing, fishing, and a large outdoor amphitheater complete
with a stage for skits and songs. Additionally, downhill skiing
and mountain biking is available 30 minutes away in Big Bear
Lake.
