The greatest trail ride in Riverside County is here again! Saddle up and don’t dally around. The Eighth Domenigoni Ranch Charity Ride for Diabetes is coming to Winchester on Saturday, April 28, 2007. This is the best, old fashioned, country trail ride, western barbecue and foot stompin’ dance around, with the proceeds benefiting those living with diabetes in our community.

Why participate in the ride and/or barbecue? To help the American Diabetes Association, in their community support programs and research for a cure, and Diabetic Youth Services, in their effort to support children with diabetes through their family camp programs.

TIME: Check in: 7:00am.  Ride begins: 8:30 am.Barbecue: 5:00 pm.  Dance: following dinner

COST - SOLD OUT: $50.00 per rider. The registration fee includes a commemorative ball cap, continental breakfast, 1 poker hand and 1 barbecue ticket.

T-SHIRTS: You may pre-order with your online registration, or limited quantities will be available the day of the event for a minimum donation of $20 per shirt.

HATS: Limited quantity available the day of the event for a donation of $15 per hat.

PLEDGES: Optional, but requested. For raising $100 or more, you will receive an official event sweatshirt. Your registration fee can be added to your total pledges in order to help you earn your sweatshirt. Riders can create their own online pledge page to earn gift certificates from Dan's Feed and Seed.

THE TRAIL: You will enjoy riding approximately 10 miles on the Domenigoni Ranch. The trail has been designed for your safety and enjoyment. Along the trail will be rest stops offering drinks, snacks and plenty of water for both riders and horses. Any riders under the age of 18 are required to wear a helmet.

BREAKFAST and BARBECUE: During check-in you’ll enjoy a continental breakfast as you prepare for your ride. (Lunch is not provided, so bring something with you to eat if snacks are not enough). After the ride, you are invited to our mouth-watering, western barbecue prepared by the Winchester Valley VFW post #4379 and the Ladies Auxiliary. The BBQ will begin at approximately 5PM.

DANCE: Following the barbecue “The Chuck Band” will entertain you. They will play your country favorites for Line Dancing and Tush Pushing under the stars. Be sure to stick around so you can kick up your heels and enjoy a good, old-fashioned hoedown.

EXTRA BARBECUE TICKETS: Family and friends, if not riding, may purchase tickets to attend the barbecue dance. Tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Add extra tickets to the total on the registration form.

Need help wranglin' up a horse for the ride? Call Graham Brothers Livestock at 760-245-7695 and ask for Lee.
